Madeleine Bellis
Madeleine (Maddy) is a dedicated clinical Myotherapist with a decade of experience in elite sports and allied health multi-disciplinary clinical settings. Maddy has been a member of our team for over 10 years.
Over the years, Maddy has continuously expanded her knowledge and education in various aspects of patient care. Four years ago, she embarked on a journey to enhance her expertise by pursuing an Exercise & Sports Science Degree. During this time, Maddy was awarded a scholarship to West Virginia University, a Division 1 NCAA American College, further enriching her academic experience.
With a strong passion for team sports, health and fitness, Maddy has had the privilege of working with esteemed sporting organisations such as the North Melbourne Kangaroos, the Sydney Swans, the Melbourne Rebels, the Sydney Roosters and the New Zealand Blues. As part of the high-performance team (of each club), she actively contributed to athletes’ recovery and performance during training sessions and game days.
In response to the covid-19 lockdowns in Melbourne, Maddy made a significate transition in her career for 18 months. During this time, she shifted her focus to the Occupational Health, Safety & Well-Being sector in a corporate setting, joining St John Ambulance Victoria. This experience provided her with valuable insights into the challenges faced by corporate patients, particularly related to desk work. Maddy’s time in the OHS & Well-Being space not only broadened her expertise but also deepened her understanding of the importance of holistic care and proactive injury prevention strategies. This experience, combined with her clinical background, allows her to approach patient care with a comprehensive and well-rounded perspective.
Maddy brings her expanded knowledge and invigorated passion back to her clinical practice. She combines her understanding of corporate environments with her expertise in clinical treatments to provide effective solutions tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.
Maddy’s treatment approach focuses on rehabilitation, strength and stability following injuries. She is dedicated to providing her patients with the highest level of care and education, ensuring they understand the muscles involved in their primary complaint and empowering them with effective strategies to address the underlying causes. Maddy frequently designs tailored and individualised programs that complement overall care, helping patients surpass their previous levels of physical performance.
As a member of the Myotherapy Association Australia, Maddy holds registrations with all major health funds under Myotherapy and Remedial Massage.
