Back In Line Chiropractic is the result of the vision of Chiropractor, Dr. Roy Smith.  Dr. Roy has a passion for increasing his patients’ total health and performance. Early in his chiropractic career, Dr. Roy observed that a gentle, personal approach and well-informed patients experience positive outcomes.  He combines this approach with his extensive professional knowledge in maintaining the direction of Back in Line Chiropractic.

Dr. Roy completed 6 years of training and graduated at RMIT University, Melbourne. He achieved Bachelors Degrees in both Clinical Science and Chiropractic Science. Subsequently, Dr. Roy earned a Graduate Certificate in Sports Chiropractic and an International Chiropractic Sport Science Diploma. He was honoured by the award of a Certificate of Clinical Excellence from Chiropractic Education Australia in 2001. Dr. Roy attends regular continuing professional development and education to keep up with the latest in natural healthcare and sports management. Dr. Roy was presented an Outstanding Service Award by the Victorian branch of the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia in 2007. In 2008, Dr. Roy achieved the prestigious award of Victorian Chiropractor of the Year for his outstanding service to the Chiropractic profession and the community.

Dr. Roy is a member of the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia and has served on the executive of the Victorian branch for over 9 years. He is a registered Chiropractor in Australia.

As well as providing care for people of all ages (from babies to 90+), Dr. Roy has substantial experience and education in the care of performers, dancers and athletes at elite levels. In keeping with his focus on caring for people, prior to commencing his professional Chiropractic training, Dr. Roy gained two years experience as a qualified Paramedic while living in South Africa.
